When Ian got 3 months, Catherine showed me some amazing exercises to do with him. In the middle of one of the dancing exercises Ian burst out in belly laughter for the first time marking this event emotionally forever.

I particularly appreciated the fact that I felt very open to speak my mind with Catherine early on as she made me feel completely at ease. During birth, my labour was difficult, and Catherine was a very strong moral support for me. Out of the three people present, (my best friend Karen was also there) Catherine was the person I felt supported me in an emotional/maternal way. (My own mother was not present as she lives in N.B) When I needed sympathy and compassion she was the one I turned to. I appreciated her presence in this moment more than words can express. Catherine was also very present to speak to the medical staff and ask the important questions.
In my opinion, Catherine is sincerely made for this choice of vocation. She is sensitive, intuitive, intelligent, passionate, gentle yet firm, dependable, an excellent communicator, and organized. She is an amazing young woman with so much love and generosity in her heart. I thank her from the bottom of my heart for everything she has done for us.

At my first contact with Catherine, by telephone, I was immediately marked by her energy and passion for doula's services. She was interested and very enthusiastic about our project of birth and about my pregnancy. At each of our meetings, Catherine was very well prepared, she always had in her possession a multitude of information to pass on to us according to questions that we had discussed before. The prenatal meetings made it possible to create quickly a bond of confidence, we immediately felt understood and respected in our choices. Catherine has taken the time to take an interest in our lives outside of pregnancy, which has helped us to create a good relationship based on trust. Our wish was to have a natural birth, Catherine supported us and encouraged me when the pain was too intense and when I was about to change my mind for the epidural. I greatly thank Catherine who has remained calm and in control and has taken it upon herself to ask the medical team for a pause to speak to me. She reassured me about the possible consequences and that we can make the decision to naturally continue the birth. She ensured that our birth plan was respected by the medical team. Throughout and after the birth, Catherine was present but discreet what allowed us to experience this moment of intimacy between us while having a peaceful mind. I had an easy postpartum, I just needed a confidant and a careful person to listen to me and that's exactly what I found in Catherine during our meetings.
